The Things We Say, The Things We Mean, and Everything in Between transforms the ampersand into a recurring visual language. Layered across the canvas, hundreds of individually rendered ampersands overlap, shift, and recede, creating a rhythmic field of forms that moves between pattern and abstraction. The restrained palette of black, charcoal, ivory, and muted gray gives the work a quiet intensity, while the accumulation of marks creates remarkable depth and an almost three-dimensional presence. Familiar yet deliberately ambiguous, the ampersand becomes more than a typographic symbol—it suggests connection, continuation, tension, and everything that exists between one thing and another.

At 24 × 36 inches, its horizontal format makes it particularly effective as a statement piece above a sofa, console, dining area, or other larger wall.
